About Shamika

Since joining A Mother’s Touch Child Development Center in 2011, I have had the privilege of working as the program director, overseeing the educational programs and daily activities. With a degree in Early Childhood Education, I bring both experience and a deep passion for helping young children thrive in their early years. My focus is on fostering an engaging and enriching environment where children can develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Throughout my time here, I have worked closely with our educators to ensure that our curriculum remains both innovative and responsive to the needs of each age group. I believe that early education sets the tone for a child’s lifelong learning, and I strive to create programs that encourage exploration, creativity, and self-confidence. Seeing children progress and reach new milestones is incredibly rewarding, and I am proud to be a part of their growth journey.

In addition to working with our teachers and children, I value the strong relationships I build with the families at A Mother’s Touch. I am always available to listen to concerns, offer guidance, and support parents in their role as their child’s first and most important teacher. Being part of a team that truly cares about the success of every child is something I treasure, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the development of our center and the children we serve.
