Parents are encouraged to chaperone field trips, eating lunch with your child, coming in and talking about your job when asked for Career Day, helping your child at home with concepts we are working on at daycare. The children love having their parent(s) come along on trips. We take pride in our communication with our parents and our commitment to children.
We have a 9:00 A.M. daily cut off period for entry.
Our goal is to guide each child with a positive and enriched learning experience that leads to a healthy attitude towards learning.
This is a tremendous task and we cannot do it alone. Below are some suggestions that you can do at home to help your child be successful in our program and beyond:
A Mother’s Touch Child Development Center is a small and growing childcare facility and without your help and support we would not be successful in our care giving. We sincerely appreciate all donations, support and assistance received from parents and the community. We gladly accept gently used donations such as: children’s books, music CD’s, toys, games, puzzles and clothing for dramatic play. We also accept monetary gifts and in-kind donations such as school supplies.
Toys and Supplies
Your child will be active both indoors and out. It is important for your child to be dressed in comfortable, washable play clothes that will adapt to stain and spills.
● Sneakers are strongly recommended for safety. Open toe sandals, flip flops, jellies or thong style shoes are undesirable and can pose a real danger to your child.
● AMTCDC is not responsible for accidents because of footwear and the lost
jewelry such as bracelets, rings and earrings.
There is a NO HAIR BEAD POLICY for children under the age of five. Hair beads can cause choking in children if they should become loose. It is recommended that all children’s personal belongings should be marked with the child’s name.
Security Cameras
School security cameras can keep a track of everyone in and out of the school entrances.
Electronic Doors
Visitors and New Parents wanting a tour will have to check in and have their ID’s scanned to enter the building
Transportation
AMTCDC has contracted Transportation Services through Wheelz 4 Kidz NC for Before and After School delivery, field trips and special deliveries for emergency situations.
Be sure your child has a good night rest and a regular routine at home.
Feed your child a variety of healthy and nutritious foods and liquids.
Ensure physical exercise is a regular part of your child’s routine.
We request that parents stay involved with the current lesson plan of the month and incorporate at home.
As children begin to understand, parents may want to help with the identity of their full names, birthdays, ages, telephone numbers, basic manners and the parent first and last name.
